- "About two o'clock in the morning the raft grounded on the bar two hundred yards above the head of the island."
- "Tom Sawyer, The Black Avenger of the Spanish Man, and your name?"
- "who goes there? Huck Finn the Red Handed."
- "After dinner all the gang turned out to hunt for turtle eggs on the bar. They went out pocking sticks into the sand. "
- "I hope Tom is better off where he is, but if he'd been better in some ways---"
- "Not a word against my Tom. God'll take care of him"
- " I want to go too." Said Huck.
- This is when the boys first got to the island all they wanted to do was to play pirates, so they all get a pirate name and get to it.
- "Oh boys lets give up. I want to go home. It's so lonesome," Said Joe.
- This is when the boys went looking for food, and they found holes that would have a lot of turtle eggs so they would grab them and eat them.
- The scene shown is when Tom is hiding under the bed and he hears Joe Harper's Mom and Aunt Polly talking about them. They think Tom and Joe are now dead and in Heaven they will never come back.
- This is when the boys start to get homesick and want to go home, but Tom makes them sound weak and tells them he is staying. This is because Tom knows all is good because he had already gone home because he was homesick too.
