Storyboard Text

  • The Great Plains with a vast amount of land where Native Americans inhabitated. There were many Buffalo Soldiers and Sioux Indians. Buffalo were a neccesity in their daily lives.
  • White settlers began to inhabit the land and began to create a frontier. This would later be know as the American frontier. This frontier separted the natives from the advanced settlers.
  • Oh were just here to get a little bit of land. Don't worry!
  • Wow! They have such good land!
  • Due to a plethora of push and pull factors these white settlers began to over inhabit the land and began to push the natives into a small section of land. The introduction of the transcontinental railroad also encouraged white settlers. They also used all their resources.
  • I know Billy Bob and his entire family would love this. The city is way too crowded for them.
  • I know right! This is so much better than my farm that go destroyed during the war.
  • The natives were forced to inhabit reservations and had limited resources. This kickstarted the dawes act that states each native man would get 160 acres of land but this was proven to be false.
  • Thats what they get for trying to rebel!
  • This was the Sand Creek massacre where they killed the Sioux indians because they feared they would rebel. Because of this the Americans were able to secure more land.
  • More land for us now!

  • Even though the settler were able to get more land they still have to face the problem of the barbed wired which divided the farmer and cowboys land.
  • No your animals destoryed my berries.
