- Sustainable Development Goal 2 aims to achieve zero hunger. It is one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals established by the United Nations in 2015. The official wording is: End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture.
- 1. 16.1 % of the world's population is undernourished. 2. 1 billion people are living in extreme poverty. 3. More than a billion people live on less than $1.25 a day, which totals to $8.75 a week.4.A healthy amount of calories is 2,100, however, most people who are chronically hungry eat even less than 1,800 calories a day .
