- Lets test it out! But first lets think about what we already know about oranges. (2)
- Man, this orange is super super bland, I wonder if i soaked it in sugar water if it would become sweeter. (1)
- Yes that's right, but they also get soft in water. Before we test this out, lets make predictions.(2)
- Well I know oranges are naturally sweetened since their a fruit.(1)
- I'm going to disagree and say, If the orange is placed in sugar water there wont be an effect(2)
- ok so, If the orange is placed in sugar water then it will become sweeter.(1)
- And the independent variable is the sugar water, the dependent is if the orange is sweeter, and the control group is the orange out of water.(2)
- So we'll need a bowl, 2 oranges, and sugar water. We'll put one orange in sugar water for an hour and keep one orange out of it. Then we'll repeat this 3 times! (1)
- Time to check! We'll both take a bit out of both and collect our results(1)(3) I agree!
- I defintley think the one soaked in sugar water cause it to be softer and a slight bit tangier(2)
- In conclusion, soaking an orange in sugar water makes the orange softer and makes it more tangy.
