- Pigs invented the saying ¨Four legs good, two legs bad¨. At first, the birds felt excluded because of their two legs. But then, Snowball confidently tried to explain why birds had four ¨legs¨. The birds accepted the saying, althought they didn´t really understood Snowball.
- Jessie and Bluebell gave birth to nine puppies, which Napoleon took away, saying he would be responsible for their education. The mothers were obviously sad. Also, Napoleon hid them so well that almost no one remembered the puppies after some time.
- The pigs start taking the apples and the milk with the excuse of needing them to do all the ¨brain work¨. Since some animals were uncomfortable with this decision, the pigs sent Squealer to deal with them. Squealer then made it look like giving the pigs the best food was the only way to keep Jones away.
