After Tybalt bests Mercutio in a duel not rightfully won, he flees. Dying in Romeo's arms, Mercutio curses both families. [Mercutio is a Montague and the best friend of Romeo]

Romeo has been banished. In an act of despair, Juliet resorts to the Friar and takes a potion. Romeo is to return, or Juliet will meet her demise. [Romeo is sheltering in Mantua when he receives the news...]
Rushing to Verona, Romeo finds Juliet's tomb. Not knowing the unholy truth, he drinks the vile of poison, killing himself. [Juliet, still asleep, is unaware of his death]
After being dug up from her casket, Juliet discovers Romeo's actions. Left with nothing but a broken heart, she stabs herself to reunite with Romeo. [Later, the citizens of Verona find their bodies]
