- November 5th
- After the king hear the report from Cecil, on the night of November 4th, he send some guards to search the cellar and they founded a tall and brown-haired man.
- November 8th
- As Guy Fawkes didn't know that the King was going to discover them, he said to the guards that his name was John Johnson, a servant from of Percy, but he was arrested.
- November 9th
- The King was not due to go to the Parliament until November 5th, and the same day, the government arrested the plotters' servants.
- END
- While Guy Fawkes was arrested and tortured, other plotters were traced to Holbeach House in the Midlands but on November 8th, they were surrounded by a group of sheriff's men. There were only thirteen plotters, Catesby and Percy were killed by the same bullet and others died too. The rest were taken to London and tried for treason.
- John Johnson was arrested and taken to the Tower of London to be tortured, until on November 9th, he admitted that he really was Guy Fawkes and confessed about his part in the plot.
- Finally, James didn't want the plot to be forgotten, so he asked people to light their autumn bonfires on November 5th. Also, people put "guys" or models of the Pope on their fires and burned them. After a period of time, this "guy" became Guy Fawkes.
