- THE FRENCH AND INDIAN WAR
- Hello! Today I am going to explain what was The Indian and French War
- This was began in 1754 and ended with the treaty in Paris in 1743 which will be explained later on!
- In this war the goal for the British was to take land in North America the name can be very miss leading because this war was between the British against the French with the Indians
- While the British wanted to take land the French were fighting to keep their land and the Native Americans were fighting to keep their land and protect their future.
- CAUSE
- The main cause of this war was over the Ohio River Valley and whether it was part of the British Empire or not and whether it was or wasn't theirs affected trade and settlement for the British .
- This war provided enormous amounts of land from North America to Great Britain but the issues with having to pay for the cost of the war and let to civilians not being happy which ultimately led to the American Revolution.
