- Once upon a time in a kingdom in Albay, lived a powerful Rajah. He has a daughter named Daragang Magayon which means a beautiful lady. She has many suitors.
- I am Kauen, son of Rajah of the kingdom of Kanugnog. Accept my love.
- I'm sorry but I don't love you.
- One day
- Who are you? I don't know you!
- Beautiful princess, I'm from a far away land to see you.
- I'm Gat Malaya, from a kingdom near here.
- But after they met many times they fell in love with each other.
- Okay my love. Lets tell our parents.
- Wait for my return to ask for your hand in marriage.
- I love so much. Lets get married
- Daragang Magayon waited for a long time for Gat Malaya, but he never returned. On the day of her and Kauen's marriage, Gat suddenly returned to stop the marriage .
- I challenge you for her hand in marriage.
- And they fought but........
- Daragang Magayon died to save Gat Malay. As Gat Malaya was to sad for Magayon he also died.

- The Rajah and the kingdom was sad. He ordered that the two lovers will be buried together. The days pass by. The place where they buried the two grew until it became a mountain. From then on the mountain was called Mayon, to remenber Daragang Magayon
