  • Rome is a metropolitan city in Italy . As you can see above the Romans are defeating invaders that aren't Romans or Roman allies.
  • Etruscan influence of sports on the Romans
  • The myth of Romulus and Remus starts off when the twin brothers were born. They were eventually kidnapped and floated down a river. They suddenly awoke and started crying. Wolves heard this noise and took the twins with them and raised Romulus and Remus. Eventually Romulus and Remus meet their real parents. However, they got into a fight on what they wanted to name their city. Romulus ended up murdering Remus and so the city was called Rome
  • Describe the Etruscan influence of engineering on the Romans
  • The Romans used arches to evenly distribute the weight to both sides. They wanted it this way so that the walls wouldn't cave in.
  • Greek influence of writing, art, and religion on the Romans
  • Up to 3,000 men fought and the sea battle featured 12 Roman galleys—a truly impressive event, attended by people from all over Italy. When the Colosseum was finished, the Romans asked themselves: what better way to celebrate the building's capability than to flood the Colosseum and hold a massive naval battle?
  • The Etruscan's made concrete. When the Romans learned this they started using it for themselves.
  • The Greeks had their own religion that the Romans also used. The Greeks made pottery as well as many other forms of art that influenced the Romans.
