- Due to the European exploration in search of new territories, the French and English established territory in the New Worlds (North America). The English established the thirteen colonies in North America's east coast.

- The reason for the war was the conflicts that developed in the colonies were over land, control of the fur trade in the colonies, and the balance of power in Europe which was won by the Coloniest and Europeans

- Because they were taxed but had not voted in parliament and had no influence in how the colonies were administered, the colonists argued "no taxation without representation." So basically they were taxing the life out of them and they started to get upset and wanted to do something about it.

- When a group of important people met to discuss the crisis in the colonies, they formed the Continental Army, which was led by George Washington.
- On October 19th, 1781, the British army surrendered to George Washington at Yorktown, Virginia, in the final major battle of the American Revolution.
- Britain then recognized the independence of the United States of America and the New constitution was mad to give access to natural rights which is liberty and property, people would also be able to freely elect governments
