- He discovered the palo Duro Canyon and found no gold.
- On his journy to find gold that he never found. but he discovered Palo Duro Canyon and Pacific Ocean.

- He was misdirected to Matagorda Bay but he was going to the Mississippi River. When he landed on the bay he built a fort.
- He was supposed to explore the Mississippi River.
- He went go get supplies from Mexico but when hee was gone the fort got attacked and when he got back he was kill by his own men.
