- Charlies favorite sport is soccer. She plays forward in soccer and wanted to see her measurements of her shooting
- Charlie shoots the ball at a 35 degree angle. She usually stands about 17 ft away from the goal box. To find out how high the goal she shoots on is she uses a trig function. (tan35)-17=11.9. The goal is 11.9ft high
- This time charlie shoots on a higher goal and shoots at a 45 degree angle. 14/tan45=8.64 so this time she is 8.4ft from the goal.

- now charlie wants to figure out the angle of her shot from midfield.the goal is 57 ft away and 13ft high. tan-1(57/15)=11.83. her shot is 11.83 degrees from half field
- charlie decided she was done with soccer and math for the day after doing all of this work.
