Storyboard Text

  • On an unexpected day, Christopher Columbus claimed that he had found a water route that would allow him to reach Asia faster than anyone else. After finding the water route that would lead him to Asia he started to ask everyone to sponsor him. Unfortunately, he got rejected by everyone he had asked. Finally after many attempts, he got sponsor by Spain's king and queen.
  • We will sponsor you under three condition.
  • That I'll do.
  • The first one condition is to bring back riches, the second condition is to spread Christianity and the last condition is to expand our empire.
  • After receiving one hundred men and three ships he set sail west to get to Asia. Eventually, after thirty-six days Columbus and his crew finally spot land and landed. There on that land, he encountered the Natives.
  • That's where we'll land. We have made it to Asia!
  • There some land up ahead.
  • Arriving on that land he saw the Natives and saw them wearing gold, which made him sure that he landed in India and called the Natives Indians. Furthermore, Christopher and his crew started to mistreat the Natives. They also made them bring their gold and good to bring them back to the king and queen. Then before long, Christopher Columbus set sail back to Spain but before he set sail he left some men behind.
  • Indians!
  • What is he saying?
  • Subsequently, when he returned to Spain he reported back to the king and queen and shared the goods he had taken back with him. Before long he set sail back to what he thought was Asia. Upon his arrival, he found that all the men he left behind were killed. Soon after the king and queen of Spain had found out about Christopher Columbus's action and they were furious which resulted in them refusing to help Christopher Columbus go any further.
  • You are doing the opposite of spreading Christianity!
  • What was I suppose to do they weren't cooperating with us!
  • Right after stopping all the support and investment, Christopher Columbus was arrested. During his arrest, he was stripped from his titles and authorities. In the end, Christopher Columbus passed away believing that he reached Asia. Along with that, he died being upset from being stripped from his titles and not receiving any credits for making it to Asia.
  • What am I doing here?
  • Even though all of that happen, Christopher did do something good. He brought the two worlds that didn't know each other together. Most importantly, his route became like a bridge for the two worlds.
  • United the two world
