  • Some years after Van Helmont experiment, a medic named Francesco Redi questioned himself how Helmont´s theory was right. So he decided to make antoher experiment to prove that Helmont´s theory was wrong.
  • Johan B, Van Helmont supported the spontanious theory that held that living species could arise from non-living matter. He tried proving this theory with the mice experiment.
  • I am going to prove that this theory is correct with one simple experiment.
  • I am going to let some cheese and old clothes in here.
  • Daily I´m going to see if any living organism has raise.
  • After 10 days
  • At day 15th Van Helmont experiment seems to fail.
  • After 15 days
  • Finally at day twenty one a little mice appear on the area of the experiment, so Van Helmont thought the spontaneous theory was right.
  • A little mice appear meaning that my hypothisis was correct.
  • Finally!!!I knew that my thoery was right!
  • I don´t think Helmont´s thoery is right, living organisms can´t appear from nowhere.
  • I´m going to prove his theory was wrong with another experiment.
  • This experiemnt consisted in putting meat in two recipients, one of them without any top and the other one with a top. The hypothesis was that in the open recipient some organisms could be attracted to the fruit, meanwhile the close one will stay only with meat.
  • Let´s hope my theory is right, because Helmont´s theory doesn´t convince me.
  • After some days, Francesco notice that the open recipent attract some flies thanks to the decomposition process of the fruit and that recipient started to get fill of maggots, meanwhile the close recipient was free of any organism proving that spontaneous theory was incorrect.
  • My theory of a reproduction cycle was correct.
  • I knew that spontaneous theory was a farce.
