- Alright listen to this, instead of always fighting the British why dont we send a letter to the king saying we dont want anything to do with the, maybe then we can stop all this war where thousands of our people get killed.

- Everyday on their way back Lia kept going on and on about wanting to send a letter to the king but slowly realized that she would need more people to make this letter so the king would actually listen
- Im saying we can finally make a change
- We would need at least 50 people to sign this and plus what if the king doesnt listen to us??

- The following weeks Lia and Flynn had been gathering people from multiple colonies they invited important people like John Paul Jones, and Marquis de lafayetteand more. They all decided to make the Declaration of Independence. A letter to the King telling him that they wanted to cut all ties with Britain. Flynn helped Lia with writing the declaration of independence.
- People could not believe that Lia had the idea of the Declaration of Independence, but Flynn stood up for her when the people doubted her. Lia was known for the creator of the Declaration of Independence along with the 56 people that signed it.
