Storyboard Text

  • Canaan is also known as the promised land
  • We are moving to Egypt because it has abundant resources
  • I have met with god and he told me to free the isrealites
  • In the year 700 bc. A man named Abraham lived in Ur, Mesopotamia, at some point according to the Torah, the Hebrew Bible, Abraham made a covenant with God. In this agreement, Canaan would belong to his people.
  • Finally, the pharaoh gave us freedom.
  • According to the Torah, Jacob and his family moved to Egypt because it had more abundant resources. This is ethical because you need more resources to grow your community. When they arrived in Egypt they were treated harshly by the Pharaoh, and turned into slaves.

  • The exodus states, that Moses was an isrealite, a relegion of monotheism, who was adopted by the Pharough's family. God wanted Moses to to rescue his people and lead them to the promised land, canaan. The Pharough did not fulfill his requests, so god punished the kingdom until he let them go.
  • Once we have finished circling the building, we will break down the walls.
  • When the pharough refused to let the isrealites leave, god inflicted many curses upon the egyptian kingdom. These curses included water turning to blood, darkness, and death of the first born child. After all of these curses he finally gave in to Moses and let them leave. Today people celebrate passover for the escape of the Pharough's kingdom.
  • The ten commendmants are 10 laws that govern the isrealites on their life and how they worship god. Moses acquired these laws when he traveled up to the top of mt. Sinia and met with god to create them. The ten commandments are important to everyone because this gives them a set of laws to follow and help them worship god.
  • After the Isrealites received laws from Moses they continued towards the promised land. Because Moses died Joshua took over and went to Canaan. The first city they concurred was Jericho, they concurred this city by surrounding the city then breaking the walls. After they concurred all of the cites some tribes settled in the north while some tribes settled in the south.
