  • The Trojan Horse
  • Sinon's Warning
  • The Greek Trick
  • The Greeks, battling with Troy, sail away, leaving behind a large wooden horse.
  • Death of Prius
  • Laocoon, fearing the horse is a trap, attacks the wooden statue. Then, Sinon, a Greek prisoner boy, explains that the horse is an offering for Athena (Minerva). Suddenly, serpents appear and kill Laocoon, proving Minerva's offense.
  • Venus Appears
  • Incorrectly interpreting the serpents, the Trojans bring the horse to Minerva's temple in the heart of Troy. Sure enough, the statue is filled with Greek soldiers, who pour out into the city at night. The ghost of Hector appears, warning Aeneas to leave.
  • The Escape
  • Aeneas roams the city, killing many Greeks along the way. He winds up at the palace, where he witnesses King Priam's death.
  • Suddenly, Aeneas remembers his father, wife, and son. Aeneas' mother, Venus, urges him to flee Troy with his family, whom she has protected.
  • At first, Anchises refuses to leave, but a crack of thunder and a shooting star convinces him to follow his son. While Aeneas carries his father and runs with his son, Crusea follows behind. Aeneas notices she is lost, returning to the burning city to find her. He finds her ghost, who says it is her fate to never leave Troy.
