  • What?!! So time is different up there than down here? Yeah but what can we even use this for?
  • There is also a gravitational time dilation relative to you position to the celestial object. Technically, time is moving faster for me compared to you since I'm in a smaller curve of spacetime
  • The general relativity theory contributes immensely to our understanding of our universe. Many things such as how planets orbit, why the universe is getting larger, and the big bang are all explained with general relativity
  • The greatest example of general relativity is GPS, as the clocks will move faster as they are about 20,000km above earth were there is a less of a spacetime curve
  • General Relativity have collided with obstacles that still have not been explained. Relativity is a very good explanation for gravity and everything it impacts, however, for quantum mechanics (the universe's explanation in smaller than atom sizes) , the math doesn't quite add up.
  • The problems occur when both general relativity and quantum mechanics are detected, and that's where it disagrees
  • Actually yes, black holes are still a very grey area with very contradicting information. General Relativity complicates our understanding explain how gravity acts inside a black hole. There is a need to further the research as all matter affects time and space which then affect gravity
  • Is there anything else that collides with General Relativity?
  • Hopefully in the near future, the laser is able to detect ripples prosecuted by collisions between neutron stars around 650 million light years from earth.
  • There has actually been a big push to help further our understanding when it comes to black holes. The USA recently had invested in a 620 million dollar laser
  • Physics 101
  • As long as you're ready for your test tommorrow!
  • Thank you Mr.K!You made understanding General Relativity so much easier
