Myrtle's Death Scene
Storyboard Text
- Daisy is driving the car, with Gatsby sitting next to her; on the road. I chose a nice pink colored dress for Daisy with her blonde hair up; that's how I imagine she would look. I chose a nice fancier outfit for Gatsby with his lighter colored hair; that's how I would imagine he'd look. I chose a light yellow colored car with the style that I imagine Gatsby's car would exactly look like.
- This is a closer view of Daisy and Gatsby in the car, driving together. They are Gatsby's yellow car.
- Myrtle is running out in the road, because she sees the car she saw Tom in earlier and wants to get his attention; and talk to him. She does not realize it is not Tom who is in the car; but Gatsby and Tom's wife, Daisy. I put her hand up to look as if she was getting ready to wave the car down, and made her look like she was running.
- Myrtle is now in the middle of the road waving the car down; who she still thinks is Tom. I tilted the car that way to make it look like it was coming right at her.
- Daisy; who is driving the car hits Myrtle head on and kills her. I used that facial expression on Myrtle's face to make her look lifeless and knocked out. I had her sit like that to show that she just got hit and is on the ground.
- Daisy does not stop the car. She just leaves Myrtle there lifeless, on the road, and keeps driving. She did not have a care in the world that she was dead, and felt no remorse; she even had a little smirk on her face. She was trying to kill her, and succeeded.
