The Epic of Gilgamesh
Storyboard Text
- Gilgamesh is a terrible king that uses his people constantly for his own benefit. His people get tired of him and pray to the gods that they will put an end to his ruling
- To help Gilgamesh out the gods made Enkidu, but Gilgamesh and Enkidu butted heads and fought. Once they fought they made up and became besties
- Gigamesh tells his mom that he and Enkidu are leaving to go explore shes against the idea but lets them go anyways and is glad that they are getting along.
- Gilgamesh gets courted by a goddess named Ishtar who asked him to marry her. He says no and because of that, he curses Enkidu. Enkidu dies and Gilgamesh goes to find a way to have eternal life.
- Gilgamesh meets with the person who can give him eternal life and his name is Urshnabi. Urshnabi gives him a quest to stay awake for 7 nights straight and he'll get eternal life.
- He then returns home because he loses his last shot at getting eternal life and is a better ruler.
