  • Hi, my name is Alex! As a U.S. Marshal, I have a diverse background and a set of skills and experiences that have prepared me for the demanding role I play within the law enforcement community. I hold a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, which provided me with a solid foundation in legal principles, investigative techniques, and public safety practices. Additionally, I completed an intensive training program at the U.S. Marshals Service Training Academy, where I honed my knowledge in fugitive apprehension, witness protection, and courtroom security.

  • I have been a U.S. Marshal for over 15 years, having served in various capacities within the agency. My career began as a Deputy U.S. Marshal, where I gained valuable field experience by executing warrants, apprehending fugitives, and ensuring the safety of federal court proceedings. Through the years, I have taken on increasing responsibilities and earned promotions that have led me to my current position as a Senior U.S. Marshal.
  • Fugitive apprehension is an important aspect of my Job as a U.S. Marshal. I dedicate a significant portion of my time to locating and apprehending dangerous fugitives. I analyzes case files, conducts surveillance, collaborates with task force members, and lead teams to execute warrants and safely arrest individuals wanted for federal crimes.
  • Another big part of my job is witness protection management. I am responsible for managing the Federal Witness Security Program, so I work closely with witnesses and their families, ensuring their safety and coordinating relocation and identity changes when necessary. I maintain regular contact with participants in the program, assessing their well-being and addressing any concerns they may have.
  • Lastly, courtroom security is a critical area of my job as a US marshal. I am frequently assigned to provide security and protection during federal court proceedings. I work closely with court personnel, judges, and attorneys to assess security risks, implement safety measures, and ensure the orderly functioning of the court. This includes screening individuals entering the courtroom, maintaining a visible presence to deter potential threats, and responding swiftly to any disturbances.
  • One activity that puts us at risk for harm on a daily basis is conducting fugitive apprehensions. Locating and apprehending dangerous individuals wanted by the federal government can involve high-risk situations. Me and my team may encounter armed and violent suspects who pose a threat to our safety. While we undergo extensive training and use precautionary measures, the nature of our work exposes us to potentially life-threatening situations.
