- Are you sure you're going to be okay? We could come with you to the Underworld.
- Nonsense! I am Odysseus, King of Ithaca! I will go down into the Underworld alone and seek the wisdom of Tiresias!
- You might make it through more easily with us at your side.
- So, is this what the Underworld has to offer? Well then, I better get to finding Tiresias before I burst into flames!
- Elpenor? How in the world did you arrive here before me?
- This is terrible! Once we arrive back to Aeaea, we will be sure to give you a proper burial!
- It is with a great amount of woe that I tell you that I haven't arrived here out of my own ambition. For I when I was turned into an animal, I walked off the roof of Circe's great temple and died. Since I never received a proper funeral, I have been stuck here for a very long time. (Book 11)
- Argh! This summoning ritual isn't working! The only souls that keep appearing strike at me with the rage of an explosion, and then depart with the swiftness of a storm. I beg for you to show yourself, Tiresias!
- Thank you for your advice! Now I must head back to the Black Lugger and return to the island of Aeaea.
- I hear your call, Odysseus of Ithaca; I bear news that will help you on your journey. Poseidon is angry with you because of your attack on his son, Polyphemus. However, you might make it home to Ithaca if you head through Thrinacia. Just remember not to harm any of Helios's sacred cows, otherwise your entire crew will perish! (Book 11)

- Hello, son. I didn't want things to be this way either. However, my heart just couldn't go on any longer. I wish you luck on your journey back to Penelope. But, you must make haste! Your son, Telemachus, grows closer to adulthood every day! (Book 11)
- Hi Odysseus! I bet you didn't expect to see your friend Achilles here! Patroclus and I wish you luck on your adventure home!
- Wow, thanks for rubbing it in, Odysseus! Can't you just hurry up and die? You'll never get back home to Ithaca.
- Alright, we must return back to Aeaea to give Elpenor a proper burial, and to plot out the route through Thrinacia.
