- In the year 1700 BCE a man named Aberham lived in Ur, Mesopotamia. At some point, according to the Torah, the hebrew bible Aberham made a covenent with god giving Abe the promised land Canaan to all his desendents
- One year, while the Israelites were in Canaan a terrible harvest had happened a massive famin made most of the Israelites vacate and migrate to Egypt but the Pharoh the king of Egypt made them slaves and they worked long hours and could not leave.
- One day a man named Moses (an Israelite) as god had asked him to do so he pleaded to the Pharoh "please please let my people go" and the Pharoh said no
- When the Pharoh said no god was angry so unleshed a swarm of bugs and plagues over egypt and the last and worst curse the death of every first born boy in egypt and then the Pharoh finally gave in and said fine you can leave and then they traveled for Canaan.
- Eventually god gave Moses a set of rules/guidelines for every jew to follow these are what are called comandments and for example one of them is to never have exramarrital affairs and another is to never resort to theft
- Natrally they returned to the promised land (Canaan) and concured every tribe there because they thought it was theirs then they settaled there and made it there home and later found the country of israel.
