  • Why,she,even she--O god! a beast,that wants discourse of reason, Would have mourned longer --married with my uncle,My father's brother.
  • Nemesis
  • Hamlet's struggle was he was too focused on his mother's remarriage with his father's brother. He allowed this event to cloud his judgment and forced him to see only the bad things in life.
  • Hamlet is dying and we see how he now cares about the fate of Denmark which is why he wants Fortinbras to be king. Hamlet finally sees Denmark needs a good king and that he shouldn't have allowed his emotions to get the best of him, which is why he's dying.
  • O,I die ,Horatio; The potent poison quite o'er-crows my spirit; I cannot live to hear the news from England; But I do prophesy the election lights On Fortinbras: he has my dying voice.
  • Anagnorisis
  • We pity Hamlet because we see how his father's death and mother's remarriage has affected him. It's caused him to do terrible things like murder and think hatred toward everyone and the world. It isn't until he is dying where he realizes his mistakes and that he should have been a better prince and should have cared more about his country and family than revenge.
