- Those two looking shabby men's are homeless, and the men with the brown coat became poor because of his several failures in the past
- it sure is cold and I'm famished. Maybe if I could steal from people I'll able to survive the winter

- what! This must contained something valuable, and why are you not taking it (What kind of thief am I. I shouldn't have tried to return it and run away with it.)
- O, yes thank you, I would rather have lost anything than that
- oh you dropped this
- Today's my birthday... wait, is that a party they are having? this is good no one will notice when I enter the house since it will be crowded
- Rising action
- what an amazing house, and it looks like the party have already started

- Willie and his companion Crawford waited for someone to rob in the frigid winter. They stood at the corner of Prairie Avenue and Eighth Street, watching automobiles and carts pass by.

- Willie, like so many of his previous failures, failed to become a thief. Willie has failed himself and is now on the verge of starvation.
- Falling Action
- Between you and me there are no secrets
- you have to come back to me, that's all in on me. We've both forgiven you of your past life
- Willie attempted to rob a large house he comes upon hosting a party. He realized that now was the best time to get some food. He hasn't eaten anything all day, and tonight was his birthday.
- Resolution
- phew...I had a number of guests to attend to and now I'm back
- Willie walked upstairs and began rummaging through drawers for costly items, but all he found were familiar items. Someone enters, though, and catches him in the act. It was his mother, and quickly he realized it was his home.
- 1. O, my this is the worst of all. why couldn't be an ordinary discovery, anything but this.
- 2. you don't understand I am a common thief. My pockets are full of your jewels now..
- 3. Hush, my boy, with those ugly words. How can you rob your own house
- Willie is ashamed that his parents are aware of his situation as a homeless person and a thief. He was afraid that his parents would reject him. His parents, on the other hand, were relieved that he became a thief and that they would be able to see him again.
- life is hard, mother you make everything seem so false
- now come with us and we'll make something for you to eat
- you are my son and I have failed with you
- I don't like to fail, it cuts my bride
- Willie chose to return home after Helen forgave him for everything he had done in the past. Willie, on the other hand, has hope that he can live a better life.
