  • Orpheus,the only mortal who could play the lyre as good as Apollo, marries Eurydice.
  • Climax
  • One day while Orpheus was asleep Eurydice went out for a walk. While she was walking, Eurydice encountered a serpent that bit and killed her.
  • Falling action
  • Stricken by grief Orpheus embarked on a journey to the lair of Hades in a desperate attempt to get Eurydice back.
  • Resolution
  • Orpheus arrives at the lair of Hades, and encounters the Cerberus. Orpheus then plays his lyre so skillfully that he calms the Cerberus down. He then continues down the dark oily cave to the lair of Hades. Spirits of the dead,that emerged from the dark river of forgotten, follow Orpheus until he reaches the black gates of Hades throne room
  • Orpheus arrives at the lair of Hades, and begins to play him his lyre. Amazed by the skill of Orpheus, with an oily tear running down his face,Hades grants Eurydice life again. While Eurydice is following Orpheus out, Orpheus breaks the rule Hades made for him,which was to not look at her until the light shines on him,and gazes at her. Eurydice fades away into a black dust.
  • For the rest of his life, Orpheus dedicates his life to making his music sound better. He does this by filling it with emotion left over from the death of his wife. Some say that when he died,him and Eurydice where reunited in the afterlife.
