- An abyss, you say?I think I know of such a place...
- Luna and her friends are attacked by Hivewings while on their way to Pantala. Some of her companions get kidnapped by the Hivewings. She and her friends decide to split up; some of them following the Hivewings in order to save their friends while some of them continue on in their quest.
- Upon arrival in Pantala, Luna and her friends that are not rescuers or rescuees anxiously wait in a cave for the rest of her friends to return.Wren, the only human among Luna's friends, returns from exploring to report that she has seen other humans in the cave systems.
- Wren introduces Luna and her dragon friends to the cave humans.The cave humans say that they know of a place that fits the prophecey's description of an abyss, and they agree to show Luna and her friends the way.
- The cave humans show Luna and her friends the way to the abyss. At the abyss, enemy cave humans try to sacrifice Luna to the guardian of the abyss; and she is thrown in.
- There is another colony of humans living down here. They aren't friendly, so watch out.
- When Luna reaches the bottom of the abyss, she discovers a throne room containing the corpses of a human and a dragon. It is full of Breath of Evil plants. The corpses speak to her, and it is revealed that the plants were genetically engineered by humans to mind control dragons, and that the sentient human corspe named Cottonmouth was behind Queen Wasp's reign of terror the whole time, controlling her mind. Luna severs the ties between the corpses and the plants, freeing everyone of mind control.
- WHO GOES THERE?!
- The Hivewing kingdom is overthrown and a council is established. Luna's friends are freed, and the war against the Hivewings ends.
