- Have you seen my wife!? Slim have tou seen her?
- Why'nt' you tell her to stay the hell home where she belongs?
- You been asking me that questions many time! If you can't find her, it is not my problem.
- Well, I didn't mean nothing, Slim. I just ast you.
- Huh?
- What the hell you laughin' at
- Once George, Lennie, and Candy finished talking about their American Dream, Curley comes into the bunkhouse angry looking for his wife. Lennie is still thinking about the rabbits.
- Get him, Lennie. Don't let him do it.
- Make 'um let 'um alone, George.
- Curley believes that his wife is with Slim and keeps on asking him. Slim is getting tired of being asked that question from Curley.
- Let him go Lennie!
- Ow! My hand!
- As Candy tells everyone Curley's secret, Curley sees Lennie laughing at him but Lennie was thinking about the rabbits. Lennie doesn't know what Curley was talking about but Curley is angry and starts to fight Lennie.
- I didn't wanta hurt him.
- Curley starts hitting Lennie. Lennie looked at George for help and wants George to make Curley stop hurting him. George told Lennie to defend himself.
- Lennie listens to George and starts fighting back against Curley. Lennie grabbed Curley's hand breaking it.
- Once George and Slim got Lennie off of Curley, Lennie gets really upset telling George that he told him to fight back. George is understanding telling him he started first. Now George is worrying what will happened to Lennie when the boss finds out happened to his son's hand.
