- October 1789 thousands of parisian women rioted over the rising price of bread. Marched on Versailles, a Paris prison. 
- Execution of Louis xvl and Marie Antoinette 
- All men are born and remain free and equal in rights. It was a human civil rights document. 
- Rise of Napoleon 
- 1793, A dark and violent period during the French Revolution, radicals took control of the revolutionary government. 
- Fall of Napoleon 
- King Louis was executed for treason and Marie Antionette was guilty for crimes against the state. They were beheaded by a guillotine. 
- As an officer Napoleon became the "savior of the French Republic" when he successfully defended the National Convention from royalists. When he was conducted to lead an army he won a series of remarkable victories. 
- He lost a major battle in his drive for a European empire, a naval battle. Which then forced Napoleon to give up his dreams of invading Great Britain.
