- Before the industrial revolution children worked on farms from morning to night. Mostly boys would work on the farms while the mothers and daughters would do housework or take care of the young children.

- Before the Industrial revolution most people around the world were farmers, peasants, or caught fish. The lower social class was ruled by land-owning nobles or aristocrats.

- After the industrial revolution social classes had three different classes, the working class, the middle class, and the super wealthy class.
- how come I have to work for the rich??
- Before the industrial revolution leisure time was spent on working in the mines because there wasn't any machines to help them out. People who were poor would have to work for hours to get food on the table for their family.
- After the industrial revolution people had more leisure time because companies began to decrease working hours and institute a Saturday half-day holiday.
