- Greetings, I am Chief Joseph of the Nez Perce. You said war? Why? What happened?
- Yes! War was a need for us to get our liberty from the British, they were awful to us.
- Really? That must have been hard. But why did you choose war? There are other ways without sacrificing people.
- It was hard but I would rather die than let anyone take away my freedom!
- I can not believe you led your own people to death, I could never live with that feeling. Let's get inside, this needs a discussion.
- I'm still grieving the lost of my people, land, cattle, everything! I could not bear one more loss at this point.
