Martin Luther

Martin Luther (1483-1546) was seen as a major figure in the Protestant Reformation in the 16th century, Europe. Luther was a German theologian and religious reformer.

Martin Luther then went on to the sharing of the Bible. One of Martin Luther's greatest feats was the translation of the Bible from Latin into his own language, German.

Indulgences were pieces of paper that the Church sold to the people as a way to avoid Hell, go straight through Pergatory, and straight to Heaven, no matter what sins the person comitted. The church sold these to gain money for their own benefit. Martin Luther considered indulgences as a crime towards God.
