- Hi kids, I am the guardian of this forest!.do you know about the dangers this forest is going through? would you like to know?
- WOW A TALKING BUNNY! Yes, we would love to see the forest with you.
- they look so brittle and and dry.
- These are whitebark pine trees, they are the only endangered pine trees in Canada. It's survival is threaten by fire suppression, climate change, mountain pine beetle outbreaks and a disease known as white pine blister rust
- WHY HAS NOTHING BEEN DONE TO STOP THIS?!
- Do you see all these dead fish and this polluted water. This is what happens when chemicals from farming find their way into our forest stream. Because of this the bears main food source has been limited and they are now starving.
- Why would they do this? Do they not know the effects and damage they have caused here?!
- A few years ago there was a lumber factory that decided to make this forest its victim. After they wiped out 40% of this forests trees and wildlife they left the forest looking like this. This is the case with many forests too.
- YA!
- Our forests have beauty and CAN be saved, but for that to happen we must act now. We must save our forests so we can save ourselves.
