- Percy is at the museum when Mrs. Dobbs attacks him , this is important because it's the first "attack"
- When Percy and Grover's bus breaks down they stop by 3 old lady's with string and scissors
- When Percy and Percy's mom are driving back from the beach the car crashes
- when Percy get's attacked by a hell hound hit is also revealed who his dad was and this is important because it starts when he has to start a quest
- during he quest he has to fight medusa in the garden to eventually get the master bolt to give it to Zeus
- During One of Percy's dreams he sees Poseidon (his dad) and Zeus fighting because Zeus master bolt of lighting when missing
