- Holes starts when Stanley was cursed by Madame Zeroni and he was later sent Camp Green Lake a juvenile detention camp where because he was accused of stealing Clyde Livingston's shoes and was forced to be there for 18 months
- Climax
- Stanley's family was cursed for not carrying Madame Zeroni up a mountain to a stream and singing to her while she drinks from a stream of water but he forgot to do it and was cursed for eternity
- Falling Action
- Stanley tried to run away by stealing the water truck that they use to fill their water up to go find Zero but ends up crashing the truck into a hole and he found zero under a boat by the name of "Mary Lou"
- Resolution
- Stanley and Zero end up breaking the first curse and find the treasure but end up getting caught while digging it up and find out they are in a yellow spotted lizard nest
- Zero and Stanley find out that the treasure belonged to his family and that the second curse was broken and they ended up getting set free from green lake because they were proven innocent and his sentence was over and when they dug up the treasure it finally made it rain at Camp Green Lake Again
- Stanley and Zero get back with their family's and they both Stanley's family and Zero split the treasure and they both got a little under a million dollars.
