  • Erikson's sixth stage of psychosocial development describes a time in someone's life where they try to form loving relationships with other people. Todd has seen Betty around at the park a few times and he mustered up the courage to ask her out.
  • Erikson's seventh stage of psychosocial development describes a time in someone's life where they attempt to find their contribution to the world. Todd found his purpose by having kids. Todd bought baseball tickets for his son, Scott, so they could spend time together and Todd feels fullfilment knowing he made his son happy.
  • Erikson's final stage of psychosocial development describes a time when a person looks back on their life with content or emptiness. Todd is looking back at old pictures of him and Betty. He is happy with what he accomplished in life and knows that when he passes he will leave a loving legacy onto his kids and grandkids.
