  • Climate change is caused by greenhouse gas emissions blanketing the earth and trapping the suns heat. Which leads to global warming, causing the earth#160;to warm faster than any point in record history .#160;
  • The world is on track for 2022 to be the warmest year since the mid 1850s.#160;#160;
  • Generating power by burning fossil fuels like coal and oil, causes large amounts of global emission being entered into our atmoshphere.#160;
  • The manufacturing and industry of goods also produce emissions from burning fossil fuels to produce energy for making things like cement , iron, steel, etc.
  • The cutting down of forests for farms and pastures are also causing an increase of carbon to be entered into the air since when trees are cut they release stores carbon,#160;
  • Destroying forests are also limiting the natures ability to keep emissions out of the atmosphere , becoming more prone to toxicities.#160;
  • We are losing the artic sea ice at a rate of almost 13% , making the oldest and thickest ice to decline by 95%. If emissions continue to grow, the artic will become ice free by the summer of 2040
  • Over 1/3rd of earth's animals and plants are predicted to extinction by 2050
  • the rising temperatures are lowering species survival rates due to the changes of less food, less reproduction, and habitat loss#160;
  • There are however some ways we ca help climate change from getting worse and save our planet
  • By reducing energy use and changing our main energy sources to clean and renewable energy, Recyling more, and planting more trees
