Me and Alaric have been "friends" for years however, now it's time for me to take my rightful seat in High Court. Alaric has been ruling for way too long and needs a little push to set him in the right place. No one will know what I have done and anyone who has shall face my wrath.
Rising Action/POV/Protagonist
Montresor I must say has grown up however. He had come up to me earlier asking about his poor fathers death. To my luck I had a story ready for him. I had told him his father's foolishness for wealth and power had gotten him killed. It was too easy tricking this poor child, for no one will ever know my deepest secret.
Rising Action Con./Setting/Antagonist
After dinner Montresor led me through these corridors that led to this secret vault I didn't know about, but don't mind if I do! It is a bit cold and wet down here, but it is worth the risk for this special wine.
Climax/Situational Irony/Internal Conflict
Once Montresor led me to the vault I realized that their was no wine. In that moment I was all of a sudden chained. I told Montresor what the meaning of all this was and he just told me that I better admit it. No could it be...was Montresor there the night I killed his father? Should I admit to my crimes?
Falling Action/Setting
Well I had now admitted to my crimes yet Montresor is just laughing at me like a maniac and is surrounding me with bricks. I had told him the truth was that not enough for him? Can't he just let me go?
Resolution/Dramatic Irony
Well I guess this is how I die, but I don't regret killing Alaric because without him I had so much authority and control over everyone. However, it was my mistake for letting that foolish child get me. I guess I just have to wait until I'm frozen to death now...
