  • Beah and his friends went to his aunt's village to reunite with his brother. He tells his brother goodbye and notify him that this will be the final time they will see each other as he is departing to the village his parents are staying at.
  • In the long run, Beah turns into a solider and becomes the thing he feared: a deadly machine capable of brutality. He is brain washed by the army and told each rebel he kills is revenge for his family. To gain courage and deal with stress the boy soldiers becomes addicted to drugs. Eventually beah and the other boy soldiers are turned over to UNICEF(United Nations Children's Fund).
