  • During Ancient times our Ancestors have different and unique ways of sharing/ showing and explaining stories. The stories were shared orally and passed through the next generations. This presents the lives and belief system of our ancestors that are reflected on their arts and literature.
  • Lola, can you tell me a story about the old days and how the literature began?

  • You know what apo, we already have our own style of literature before the Spanish Colonization happened...
  • Our Ancestors used oral literature to express their ideas, beliefs, and values such us riddles, proverbs and etc. I know that we are familiar with the examples because it is our part of being Filipino, we grew up playing riddles and hearing salawikain from our elders.
