- What is all of this stuff, the sun, water, and land?
- These are all examples of natural resources.
- Natural resources are something that are found in nature and can be used by people.
- Oh, that's cool! What are the different types of natural resources?
- Many of the natural resources people need are renewable, meaning they can't run out. Some examples are light, soil, and good ol' wood!
- There must be some natural resources that aren't renewable, right?
- Yes, you are right. Nonrenewable resources such as gas, stones, and oil are things that take a while to form.
- Unfortunately a lot of natural resources are disappearing because of deforestation and people overusing them.
- That's so sad, but change begins with us!
