Storyboard Text

  • Romana has been missing from Earth for two years and has finally returned to her hometown, Greece, 1930.
  • Is this place really my hometown? I think this is the wrong place.
  • I'm pretty sure this is my hometown. I recognize the trees here.
  • What are those gray and massive things? There's so many of them!
  • Bro, what is she wearing?! I can't, it's so weird!
  • I don't know man. Doesn't look like she comes from around here though.
  • Ugh, here we go again.
  • Yes! What are those gray and massive things called? I don't know what happened here. I'm so lost.
  • Hey, you look lost. Can I help you?
  • What?! The structures are so different from before. Before, they were roundhouses with circular structures.
  • Oh, those are "buildings."
  • Ah, you may not know, but what you are experiencing right now is "globalization." You see, we now have very different building styles, from post-modernism to high-tech architecture. Globalization is the spread of ideas, knowledge, information, goods, and services throughout the world. The convergence of cultural and economic systems drives globalization. The more countries and regions of the world are politically, culturally, and economically intertwined, the more globalized the world becomes.
  • She really IS weird. How can she not know any of this? But I will explain it to her anyway.
  • Really? Now I know why I don't see any carriages here.
  • Back then, I had to be transported by donkeys, camels, and horses to various locations. It took us so long to get anywhere.
  • Yes. This is a car, which is one of the most common modes of transportation. Now we also have buses, trains, airplanes, and ships.
  • Globalization has advanced transportation and made it easier for us to get to places in a short period of time, and we can now travel to anywhere we want.
