- The Colonists have tried to reconcile but theBritish have decided to act forcefully, they have brought their armies and itseems that they want to start a war.
- oh nooo that reminds me of when the white men came to Wallowa. They provoked us to start a war, they stole land, gold, horses,a cattle and they did not return it.
- The war started?
- no because we were weaker, we didn't want to lose lives just because of the greed of white men. We chose peace, even though living conditions were not good.
- Yes, our freedom is being taken away. We don'twant to live as slaves to the British, so we must fight.
- Are you going to war?
- In everything there must be sacrifice. futuregenerations will appreciate it and they will always be remembered. I prefer tofight for freedom if not give me death.
