- Benjamin Franklin manages to sign the declaration of independence.
- Royal Proclamation
- the proclamation intended to reconcile the Native Americans by checking the encroachment of settlers on their lands.
- this law indicated that every document needed a seal approved by the government
- Tea Act
- The Boston Massacre was a street fight that occurred on March 5, 1770, between a "patriot" mob, throwing snowballs, stones, and sticks, and a squad of British soldiers. Several colonists were killed and this led to a campaign by speech-writers to rouse the ire of the citizenry.
- CONSTITUTION
- The proclamation was a law which provided that all lands west of the heads of all rivers which flowed into the Atlantic Ocean from the west or northwest were off limits to the colonists.
- The Tea Act was a law enacted by the Parliament of the Kingdom of Great Britain that allowed the British East India Company to sell its tea in the Thirteen Colonies of North America without paying taxes.
