- I barely heard him. I came closer and leaned over to hear what he was going to say. Stay gold, Ponyboy. Stay gold The pillow seemed to sink a little, and johnny died(Hinton 148).This quote sticks with me so much because it shows how much Johnny was needed and meant to everybody. The people who needed him most was ponyboy and Dally.
- He was jerked half around by the impact of the bullets, then slowly crumpled to with a look of a grim triumph on his face(Hinton 154).This scene is important to me because it shows the relationship between Johnny and dally and how Johnny was like Dally's little brother which his death hit him hard.
- Need a haircut, greaser? The medium-sized blond pulled a knife out of his back pocket and flipped the blade open(Hinton 5).
