Storyboard Text

  • In the Indus River Valley, girls worked at home while boys grazed cows. The men of the families went to hunt while the women stayed home. The Water from the river kept the villages running and healthy.
  • Mohenjo-Daro had no culture or worship to GODS, but The Indus Valley Civilization had religion related to Hinduism and Buddhism, so they worshiped their gods with jewels and prayers.
  • The Mohenjo-Daro made the first cities. This was around the time farming started and people started making permanent settlements near the Indus River to start farming with the resources they had. They had also built advanced sewage water systems and now had a new way to get food and trade for more tools.
  • The area was divided into two districts for the rich and the poor where the regular people had developed their areas with houses, but the Citadel had grid plans for blocks, allowed small places to form somewhat of a city and hey had advanced toilet systems.
  • Even the regular people started getting more opportunities which was in a main chain of building like engineers, designers, builders, sailors and equipment creators. This was how they made most money, but no one every forgot about farming.
  • They had a very developed area and they made beautiful crafts from jewels and clay. Later on, many left Mohenjo-Daro abandoned after they felt that the Indus River was no use to them and they changed all of their life plans.
