  • Good morning class! We're here at the Regional Museum of Region 2 to witness the amazing works of our community. Pick an art that you loved and we'll have a presentation next meeting
  • A KNOWLEDGE-PACKED MUSEUM TRIP
  • Wow! There's a lot of artworks that can be seen here!
  • Yes! Region 2 has really a lot to offer in our local and contemporary arts
  • .....
  • Wow! That was amazing, I never thought that Region 2 really has a lot to offer.
  • Btw, I chose the artwork called YUVUK, it is said to be made in Batanes. It is a unique farming container used for keeping and transporting farm products. Its really cool, How about you Anna?
  • Upon reaching the Regional museum of Region 2, Mrs. Roses, the advisory class of Grade 12-Isaiah provided a brief introduction in the rules and regulations andgave instructions on what to do upon entering the museum.
  • Well, for me, what made me interested the most is the VACUL or SUUT, it is really interesting because women use them as a protective gear from the scorching sun. It is really unique from the common headgears of farmers.
  • The trip was really worth it and I really also admired the creativity of our community
  • Mrs. Roses started leading the class inside the museum as they enter various rooms that contains a lot of artworks from our community. She then continued giving a brief introduction on her knowledge about the artworks while the students are amazed by the unique artworks all around the rooms.
  • That's a relief, I never though that discovering and learning about art was so fun!
  • Well, I couldn't agree more Anna, but as technology advances we must still incorporate these artworks because it is a part of our culture
  • All of you, clap for yourselves for job well-done!
  • After the museum tour, they went to the bus, and as soon as Marco and Anna sat, they rushed their ideas and thoughts about the various artworks. Marco shared about the YUVUK which is a farming container made in Batanes and how he was amazed by it. He then asked Anna on what artwork struck her the most.
  • Yes, that's right! As technology advances in our world, we must preserve these cultures of ours as they are a part of our Filipino identities. They are the reason how we progressed this far. So class, Let us start a school campaign as your project in order to promote the integration of the Local and Contemporary art of REGION 2. See you next meeting!
  • Anna surely loved the idea of going to the museum. He shared his experience and that the art that really struck and made her really interested is the VACUL which is headgear for women as a protection from the heat of the sun. She was really interested to it as it was her first time in seeing such unique design that work effectively for the local farmers of Batanes.
  • It was their next meeting with Mrs. Roses and they just finished their individual presentations about their experiences and their chosen artworks, Mrs. Roses was proud of their learnings and gave them a short summary of the museum tour. After that, she asked the class about their realizations on the tour.
  • Mrs. Roses then agreed on the realizations of Grade 12-Isaiah. She gave a summary of their realizations and the importance of integrating the local and contemporary art of Region 2. Truly our culture is very important in our Filipino identity and it is just right to preserve them because we must accept diversity in order to achieve unity.
  • Thank you maam!!
