  • Abraham was a shepherd that lived in Ur, Mesopotamia around 1700bce. He was the Patriarch of the Hebrew people and made a covenant with God. God promised Abraham that if he moves his people to Canaan that it will be the Promised Land for all the Hebrew/Jewish dissented.

  • Moses is the most important Jewish prophet. God asked Moses to lead his people out of slavery in Egypt to the promised land. The pharaoh said, "Now pray for me". Pharaoh's ethics was anger because Moses freed the slave. Moese followed all the ten commandments.

  • The Jews wanted to go back to Canaan because they were getting treated badly in Egypt. On the seventh day, they circled seven times and the walls of the city came crashing down. Tribes settled in a different region on either side of the Jordan River. Today the Jews read the Torah during the morning services on Mondays and Thursdays.
