- The Discussion.
- Hunters Rainsford and Whitney are sailing on a Yacht to the Amazon to hunt Jaguars. Rainsford and Whitney disagree about hunting, with Whitney having empathy for the animals, and Rainsford not. Rainsford then hears a Gunshot, and after investigating, drops his pipe and falls overboard. 
- The Hunt
- Rainsford determinedly swims to Ship-Trap Island, the closest land. He finds the remnants of what looks like a dead animal, and following the trail, stumbles upon a palatial chateau. He learns this is the home of Ivan and General Zaroff. He does not receive a warm welcome, and finds something suspicious, maybe a little scary.
- Trap
- After the odd event of the General acting odd and accepting to Rainsford, they talk. Rainsford learns that General Zaroff used to be a Cossack and a Hunter. When General Zaroff got bored hunting animals, he began hunting humans. 
- Free.
- Rainsford learns that General Zaroff plans to play 'The Most Dangerous Game' with Rainsford for three nights. He uses his hunting skills that he acquired from hunting in other countries to try to trap the General. He ends up injuring him. 
- After escaping the General once. Rainsford moves to the 'Death Swamp'. He makes another trap, this time killing Ivan. He learns how it feels to be a hunted animal. Then, he jumps off a cliff to run away from the hounds.
- General Zaroff thinks that Rainsford is dead, and felt a little sad, but successful. When Rainsford shows back up, the General seems disapointed, but impressed. Unfortunately, in the end, Rainsford kills General Zaroff and sleeps the night away.
